Mission of the Month
Mission Spotlight for May, 2025
Ronald McDonald House of Akron
The May Mission Spotlight is being coordinated by Daughters of the King. During the month of May, we will be collecting donations for the Ronald McDonald House of Akron. The Ronald McDonald House programs in Akron and Cleveland provided over 28,000 nights of housing to1,250 families. The cost to host one family for one night is $150. Because of volunteers and donations, Ronald McDonald House is able to host families at no charge to them.
Research shows that a family's presence in the hospital helps children heal faster and cope better. The Ronald McDonald House of Akron allows parents to be close by their sick children, surrounded by a warm, peaceful and comforting atmosphere that strengthens them during trying times.
Daughters of the King will be collecting food items, cleaning supplies, gift cards and small toy items. We will also be putting together "birthday cake boxes" that will contain an aluminum pan, cake mix, lemon-lime soda, frosting, candles and sprinkles.
A full detailed list for donations is included in this newsletter. Donation boxes marked "Ronald McDonald House" will be place by each entryway to place donations in. Contact Erin Ray if you have questions.
During the month of May please pray that the families feel God's grace and that they are restored to full health and strengthened.
"For I will restore health to you and heal your wounds" Jeremiah 30:17

LifeWise Academy
LifeWise Academy is a Bible-based character education program that exists to reach students in public schools with the gospel. Under released time law, students may be released from public school during the school day to receive religious instruction, provided the program is held off school property, privately funded, and parent-permitted.
In addition to their regular classes, parents/guardians have the option to enroll students, in grades Kindergarten through sixth grade, in LifeWise Academy. Chaperones will transport students to and from LifeWise.
LifeWise Madison is now enrolling students Kindergarten through sixth grades for the 2024-2025 school year. Enroll your children or find more information at lifewise.org/oh-richland-madison.
Trinity Grace Fellowship began hosting Lifewise students in fifth and sixth grades on September 10th.
